The Khaki Rebels is a youth group run by the Melton Combined Youth & Special Needs Club Association Inc. for persons between the ages of 5 and upwards who have special needs and for their siblings and friends.

The club was formed in response to a need in the western region of Melbourne for suitable social and developmental opportunities for these children.

We were formed in July 1999 and our youth membership has steadily grown since that time. Our group operates in the western area of Melbourne.

Our Youth Groups meet during school terms only -   our   groups meet at our   "Melton Hall" on Friday Nights.

Activities we enjoy include lazer tags, movies, swimming, 10 pin bowling, crafts, badge work, games, camping and disco nights.

We also go on at least one weekend camp each year in an 'accommodation' type camp site.

Please note since January 21st 2004 our group does have public liability cover.

Any youth members who require personal care assistance - depending on the degree of personal care assistance the parents or care givers may need to arrange to supply an Aide.

Our leaders will do minor personal care needs at the hall etc, but on camps you would need to see the Youth Co-ordinator of the Khaki Rebels to arrange showering etc .

However if you preferred, you may choose an aide (a friend etc) to provide for the child's personal care needs, this is subject to the person being over the age of 18 and completing a Victorian Police clearance form and a our Associations Parent Helpers forms and having a current WWC Cerficate.
